Gently sweetened with raw demerara sugar, it is easy drinking, refreshing, and blissful. Without the sleepiness associated with some kava cultivars, this kava is relaxing but engaging, leaving the drinker very clear-headed and uplifted.
La'au is a cultivar more traditionally associated with Samoa; however this was grown on the island of Molokai.
